Horseback Riding Returns to Highland Forest

Folks can get back in the saddle and experience the beauty of Highland Forest on an hour-long guided horseback ride. Onondaga County Parks and Highland Outfitters are pleased to announce that horseback riding will return to Highland Forest Park beginning Saturday, May 12. Rides will run from 10am to 5pm, by appointment only on Saturdays and Sundays. Starting on June 24, horseback riding will be available Wednesday-Sunday 10am to 5pm by appointment only. The rides are $30 an hour, per person.

The horseback rides are unique in that they explore the preserved trails of Highland Forest and are a great way to discover the natural outdoor beauty of the trails.

Highland Outfitters is a division of Cooperstown Carriage Company providing the popular hay and sleigh rides at Highland Forest Park. For reservations, call 289-3775.

Highland Forest, an Onondaga County Park, is located off of Route 80, 4 miles east of the Village of Fabius.
