The clear, cool waters of Jamesville Reservoir and sparkling Butternut Creek offer the ideal place to cool off on a hot summer day. These protected waters are excellent for paddle boats, row boats, canoes and kayaks which can all be rented at the beach, Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day. See Rental Info.

At the beach, over 140 yards of lifeguarded waterfront features a 0' depth to 4' shallow water area, a 7'-10' deep water zone and a 3000 square foot inflatable raft zone. The deep water area includes a floating raft which provides experienced swimmers a cool place to hang out, sunbathe or demonstrate their cannonball technique. During beach season, schedules for activities for ages 5-8 which include "Alligator Wrestling" or "Sharks and Minnows" are posted at the beach.

Book Now!Acres of groomed lawn and shaded grounds offer prime locations for cookouts. Large parties can be hosted under the Sandpiper and Overlook Shelters or at the Point Tented Area. The Special Event Field is available for large private, business and public special events.

Fishing? Access points along the shoreline, as well as, Butternut Creek provide the chance to catch warm and cold water game.

How about a round of Horseshoes? Two regulation size pits are available for general use. The pits, located near the Point Tent Reserved Area, are first-come, first-use. Shoes are available at the Ticket Booth with a refundable deposit.

Play some volleyball...a regulation size sand court is located near the beach. Ball available at Lifeguard office at the Visitor Center with a refundable deposit.

Pets must be on a leash not longer than 6', inoculated for rabies and never be left unattended. Mutt mitts and receptacles are provided for cleaning up after your dog. Dogs are not allowed on the beach or in the beach picnic areas during beach season. There is an designated off leash area in the park. Details are available in the park Welcome Guide or from any park employee.

Disc Golf... Fun for the whole family, the Jamesville Beach Disc Golf Course now offers 18 challenging holes. The game is a great combination of frisbee and golf.

The Disc Golf Course is open April - October during park hours. Players can bring their own discs or rent a set at the Ticket Booth, 9am-6pm, for $3 per set plus a $10 deposit.
