HORSE-DRAWN SLEIGH RIDES: Weekends; 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM.  Last available ride departs at 3:30PM.  Horse-drawn wagon used when conditions do not permit the use of a sleigh. Adults $6, children 5 & under $3, 20-25 minute ride, first come first serve.

CONCESSIONS: Weekends; 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Beaver Lake Nature Center

Rental Information: Rentals available from 9am until 7:30pm
Snowfall: 2-5" hard-packed base with 3-4" powder in most areas.
Conditions: Patchy areas on Deep Woods trail near the lake. Snowshoe trails open. Ski trails are designated. Tracks set Friday.

Three Meadows, Lake Loop, Deep Woods, and Woodland Trails are open for SKIING ONLY.

Hemlock Hollow, Bog, and Lakeview Trails are open for WALKING.

Pine Meadow is a multi-use trail.

Northern and Southern Exposure trails open for SNOWSHOEING.

Moonlight skiing/snowshoeing Jan. 29 -31 until 9 pm. Snowshoes will be rented until 7:30pm.


Winter Programs

Tracking Wildlife on Snowshoes at 2pm Saturdays and Sundays in January and February  free with admission 

Try Snowshoeing Clinic at 12:30pm Sundays in January and February $5 per person (includes snowshoes) 

Signups for the Tracking Wildlife on Snowshoes and Try Snowshoeing Clinic begin at 8am on the day of the program. Please call 638-2519 to sign up. 

Snowshoe Feast at 5pm on January 31st

Meal will include chicken and bisquits or vegan chili, coleslaw, and dessert. Participants will have dinner first, then embark on a 90 minute snowshoe hike. Upon return, dessert will be served and Colin Aberdeen will play acoustic tunes. $25 for members; $35 for nonmembers

Moonlight Skiing and Snowshoeing 

The Nature Center will stay open until 9pm Thursday-Saturday, January 29th through 31st and in February from the 26th through the 28th. Please sign in at the front desk before hitting the trails. On these nights, snowshoes will be rented until 7:30pm. 

Guided Moonlight Snowshoe Hike

Join a Naturalist as we explore the nightime woodlands and meadows. This program will be offered on Friday, January 30th and Friday, February 27th at 7pm. Registration for these programs will begin on the day of the program beginning at 8am. Snowshoes will be available for rent for $5.

Onondaga Lake Park - Long Branch Park

The sledding hill is open daily, weather permitting from 10 AM until 5 PM. The hill is located in Long Branch Park and is unsupervised. Cross country skiing is allowed at Long Branch Park and on the Shoreline Walking Trail at Onondaga Lake Park.
