Volunteering is a productive and rewarding use of leisure time, and thanks to the devotion of hundreds of residents who collectively contribute over 50,000 hours of their time each year, Onondaga County Parks are truly special places.

  • Friends of Rosamond Gifford Zoo

  • Friends of Beaver Lake Nature Center

    Become a part of the amazing team of volunteers that makes Beaver Lake Nature Center the special place that it is.   • Friends of Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery

  • Trout Stocking at Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery
    Trout Stocking volunteers are needed late march thru Mid May to stock area streams, lakes and ponds. Stocking takes place Tuesdays-Thursdays 8:30am-4:30pm.   • Highland Forest Nordic Ski Patrol

  • Jordan Level Trail
    Trail volunteers are needed for the Jordan Level Trail. The 4 mile stone dust trail is part of the Western Canalway and can be accessed from the Sims Store in Camillus, the Village Park in Jordan, Laird Road and McDonald Road. Parks is looking for families, individuals or groups - a scout troop would be ideal - to monitor the trail monthly and help pick up debris from April -October.
