- Friends of Rosamond Gifford Zoo
The zoo is seeking dedicated, talented, reliable, energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to help with special events, assist in education programs, help maintain and beautify zoo grounds, and interpret zoo exhibits for visitors. - Friends of Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery
Since its inception in 1994, the Friends have undertaken a number of projects to enhance staff development, increase educational and recreational opportunities for hatchery visitors, and improve fish rearing capabilities. - Trout Stocking at Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery
Trout Stocking volunteers are needed late march thru Mid May to stock area streams, lakes and ponds. Stocking takes place Tuesdays-Thursdays 8:30am-4:30pm. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and commit to an entire day. - Highland Forest Nordic Ski Patrol

- Jordan Level Trail
Trail volunteers are needed for the Jordan Level Trail. The 4 mile stone dust trail is part of the Western Canalway and can be accessed from the Sims Store in Camillus, the Village Park in Jordan, Laird Road and McDonald Road. Parks is looking for families, individuals or groups - a scout troop would be ideal - to monitor the trail monthly and help pick up debris from April -October.
