Honeywell Sportsmen's Days at Carpenter's Brook

Honeywell Sportsmen's Days will be held at Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery in Elbridge on Saturday & Sunday, September 23 & 24 from 11am-5pm. The event was created as a tribute to National Hunting and Fishing Day and is one of the largest celebrations of National Hunting and Fishing Day in New York State.

A variety of outdoor activities, suitable for all ages are scheduled throughout the two day event and include clay target shooting, trapping, waterfowl identification/calling, turkey calling, predator calling demonstrations, archery, BB guns, fly fishing, carp and trout fishing demonstrations, jig tying, canoeing and muzzleloading. There will be demonstrations by woodsmen, local wildlife artists and authors, retriever and pointer dog demonstrations.

In addition, conservation officers, forest rangers and Eddie Eagle (mascot for NRA's Eddie Eagle Gun Safe program) will make appearances. Wild game/fish cooking demonstrations by professional chefs and Hall of Fame sportsmen and primitive pursuits - tanning animal skins using natural materials, fire starting and survival will be on display along with birds of prey, live pheasant and taxidermy displays and demonstrations.

Free prize drawings will take place during the event, the Grand Prize is an Oneida Lake Walleye and Perch Fishing Charter with Captain Tony Buffa.  

Admission to the event, which includes all activities, is $5 per vehicle. Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery is located at 1672 Route 321 in Elbridge.
