Onondaga County Loop Trail Extension Project

Trail Closure/Detour Alert: Beginning April 5 and running through May 7 (weather depending) portions of the southwestern Onondaga Lake shoreline trail, specifically the pedestrian bridge over the CSX and New York Susquehanna & Western railroad tracks will be intermittently closed to users to allow completion of minor work elements.
An unsigned Empire State Trail detour route will be in place during the intermittent closures. The road detour will consist of using Bridge Street, Milton Avenue, Erie Boulevard West, and Hiawatha Boulevard.

As with any construction work, we respectfully ask that trail users abide by the work zone signs, use caution and be mindful of construction workers and equipment.
