County Executive Joanie Mahoney Announces West Shore Trail is Open

Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney announced today that the West Shore Trail is open. A section of the trail had been temporarily closed during the construction of the Lakeview Amphitheater.
"The West Shore Trail offers incredible views of Onondaga Lake that this community has not seen in decades," said Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney." When we opened the trail last year we received very positive comments from trail users. We think people will be just as excited to see that the trail now runs through our newest county park and the Lakeview Amphitheater."
The West Shore Trail can be accessed from the Orange Lot at the New York State Fairgrounds, the west shore trail at Onondaga Lake or Long Branch Park. The trail is open from dawn to dusk.
