County Executive McMahon Announces “February Freebies” at Beaver Lake Nature Center & Highland Forest

County Executive Ryan McMahon today announced two new offers for Beaver Lake Nature Center and Highland Forest County Parks. The offers are part of Onondaga County Parks “February Freebies” program being launched to encourage folks to get outside and enjoy our award-winning parks system.
The first offer is for a $2 off coupon available tomorrow only (2.2.22) that folks can get by visiting www.OnondagaCountyParks.com. While the coupon will only be available tomorrow, it can be redeemed repeatedly throughout the month of February.
The second offer is a “Buy One, Get One” special at Beaver Lake and Highland Forest. For the month of February, visitors who buy one admission to either park will receive a pass for a free admission or free winter rental that can be used at either location. As a special incentive, on Fridays during the month of February, visitors can “BOGO” for a cross-country ski or snowshoe rental. The free pass can even be used the same day for a family member or friend offering instant savings.
County Executive Ryan McMahon said, “With prices rising for just about everything, our team at Parks went to work to make sure families could still enjoy our amazing parks and now thanks to our February Freebies program, we hope even more members of the community will take advantage of all we have to offer.” McMahon continued, “We’ve been through a lot as a community over the past two years and I hope this offer will give folks a reason to get outside and reconnect. Thank you, again, to our parks team for their efforts.”
Beaver Lake Nature Center is located at 8477 East Mud Lake Road, off of Route 370, in Baldwinsville. Admission to the Nature Center is $5 per vehicle and snowshoe rentals are available for $5 per hour. For more information call (315) 638-2519.
Highland Forest is located at 1254 Highland Park Road, off of Route 80, in Fabius. Admission to the park is $3 per person for snowshoeing/hiking or a cross-country ski day pass is $10 adults; $5 children (15 & under).
